The Mask!
Character Name: Carlisle Cullen
Species: Vampire
Group: gold eyed vampire
Gender: Male
Age: Appears to be 23 but in reality is 363
Diet: Vegetarian
Appearance:
Carlisle is Tall, blonde and classically handsome. He has beautiful clear golden eyes and a peaceful countenance which only comes from years of controlling his blood lust. His compassion for human life shows on his face. His love for his family also shows on his face. When you speak to him, you can tell that he feels what you are saying.
Personality: Carlisle is probably the most compassionate being on the planet. He loves wife above anything and his family follows directly behind. He is of even temper and he has a laid back sense of humor. He has been patient enough to raise teenagers for centuries and he would continue to do so as long as able.
He is incapable of judging beings, but he does not understand the need of some vampires to drink human blood. He would give everything he had to help people. Renesmee has become one of Carlisle's top priorities; he would move the world just to see his granddaughter smile.
History: Carlisle was born to an Anglican pastor in 1640's London. His father's life was dedicated to ridding the earth of such evils such as werewolves, vampires and witches. Sometimes he did find real ones but more often than not his father simply killed innocents, claiming that they were such. Carlisle was raised until young adulthood with this being the mindset that he should follow. One night when he was in charge of his own witch hunt, Carlisle stumbled upon an actual nest of vampires. He was attacked, and left injured. Too afraid to return to his father, Carlisle hid himself in a potato cellar during his transformation. After realizing what he had become, Carlisle tried in many ways to kill himself, but to no avail.
After starving himself for days to see if he would die, Carlisle was driven mad by his hunger, and attacked a herd of deer, feeding off of it to satiate his need. It was through this that he discovered he could survive without killing humans. Over two centuries Carlisle perfected his ability to resist the 'blood lust' and eventually he became immune to it, no longer tempted by the smell of human blood. In 1918 while working at a clinic during the Spanish Influenza outbreak he was begged by a mother to save her son. As there was nothing that could be done medically, Carlisle decided to change the boy, therefore granting himself a companion. Only three years later he stumbled upon Esme in the same manner, changing her in order to save her life. They soon fell in love and wed.
Carlisle later changed Rosalie Hale, a young woman who was left dying on the street by her fiancé. The Cullen family still continued to grow however, as Rosalie eventually brought home Emmett, and begged that Carlisle save him as he had her. He agreed and Emmett too became a Cullen. Jasper and Alice found their own way to the group thanks to Alice's gift, and then the family was whole, or so he thought.
In fact the Cullen family only became whole when Edward finally found his soul mate, Bella, and they had their daughter Renesmee.

"Thank you. I apologize but I did not quite catch your name." Claudia replied softly, she wanted to make sure she had the right person before she just gave away the last item of Danny's that she had besides her photograph of him on the mantle. She sat on the white leather sofa, laying the parchment envelope wax seal side up, the seal had been made in the old style with Sealing wax, a candle and Danny's signet ring. She tucked her tiny feet under her and sighed.
"How I came to forks is a rather interesting story, I hope you do not mind long stories." She said softly, gazing at him. She could not help but feel calmed and safe in his presence. The sunlight shot through the nearby window setting her skin aglow like diamonds. "It begins just over two months ago, For two tears I had been working in New Orleans Louisiana as the head waitress at a Diner on the river called Leo's. The owner and manager of that diner was a man by the name of Daniel Michaels, but he insisted that I call him Danny. Soon after I began working there Danny and I realized that we were meant for each other and we fell in love. He used to lovingly call me the most tempting thing since chocolate."
Claudia wiped away the unbidden tears as she recounted her memories, taking a deep breath. "Two months ago we had a fight, because I wanted our relationship to be more and Danny said he could not do to me what would be required for us to be together." She wrapped her arms around herself, shivering as the memory of that night came flooding back. "I did not know then that Danny, being the last of his coven was under surveillance by the Volturi, nor that they were concerned about his relationship with me. That night, I was so hurt and angry about our argument that I walked out of the Diner, slamming the glass door behind me. I had no clue about the Volturi as I said, so I had no idea that I was in danger." She shook again with the fierceness of the memory.
"I had been in front of the diner sitting by the river for nearly an hour, I did not notice that anything was wrong because I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts and pain. A moment later or an eternity later, I'm not sure which, I felt my hair being lifted by what I thought at the time was a slight breeze, then I felt this incredible burning pain in my neck that spread through my entire body." She absently reached out and felt her neighbor's hand, somehow holding tight to hers, she looked up and saw a look of pain on his face.
She took another breath and continued. "After three days of pain, I awoke in Danny's apartment. He looked stranger than I had ever seen, like he was seeing the future, which was his gift. He told me that should anything happen to him, I was to come to Forks, here to the house he had built. He also said he had written a letter to his closest friend a Dr. Carlisle Cullen, and placed it in my purse. He said when I got to Forks that somehow Carlisle would find me and when he did, to give him the letter. That he would know what to do."
Claudia did not look up, but she did feel her neighbor's hand grow tighter in hers. "Nothing more was said about it until the night The Volturi murdered him." She shook again, her voice straining not to break as she choked out her story. He asked me if I still had the letter, He looked so odd. I asked him what he saw, when suddenly they broke the glass door in and dragged us both out, the guard that was holding me whispered into my ear that I smelled just as good as the night he bit me. I screamed and kicked, I bit at him but I was no match for him, he easily turned me around and made me watch as they ripped Danny up and burned him. Then for some reason the guard let me go, he said he would see me again soon enough." She shuddered.
She got quiet for a moment, all she heard was the sound of her own breathing and a pained emotional almost imperceptible growl from her neighbor. "I ran to my car, seeing that Danny had managed to pack everything up before the Volturi got to us, and I drove straight here. That was a week ago, now I am just waiting for his friend Carlisle so that I can give him this letter." She said softly, turning the letter over in her free hand so that he could see Carlisle's name scrawled on the front in Danny's handwriting.
